2 yrs ago We need atleast 6 stars for this dance school! My daughter and me have been a part of the school since the very beginning. It was one of the best decisions I have made to choose this school for us. Shilpa not only offers dance lessons but she teaches all the nuances of being a true artist. From helping students to have a right posture to understanding the meaning of the songs and historical facts of this art form. We have also been a part of her bi- annual dance performances. She chooses her theme carefully to not only showcase the art form but all challenge the dancers to achieve a new level.

The production and creative direction have always dazzled me year after year. 2 yrs ago My daughters and I have been students at Dikshaa Dance Academy for last 3+ years. I also have prior dance experience of 10+ years. I can definitely say Shilpa is a wonderful dance teacher. She is very knowledgeable and is a strong and talented dancer herself. Her expressions, gestures and anga-shuddhi serve as a great model to learn from. Additionally she is very good as a teacher.

Tremendously patient and genuinely interested in every student, she makes an effort to bring more to her students than the typical. For our shabdam classes as well as for performances, Shilpa conducted additional lessons and exercises in acting and expressing emotion based on Jacques Lecoq's methods. This help students stretch themselves and portray emotions realistically.I would highly recommend Shilpa and Dikshaa Dance Academy. Your child will undoubtedly get a strong foundation in Bharatanatyam while learning in a fun, pleasant environment from a great teacher.
