Camps & Classes 2019 CAMP SCHEDULE • CSI Camp: • March 26-27 • June 25-26 • July 23-24 • Youth Firearms Camp: TBA • Children’s First Gun: TBA • Summer Recreation: TBA 2019 CLASS SCHEDULE • TBA CSI CAMP • • • • The Caddo Sheriff’s Office will host a Crime Scene Investigations Camp for 11 and 12 year olds during the spring and summer breaks. The class will be held at Sheriff's Safety Town at 8910 Jewella Avenue. Participants will learn how to detect clues and apply CSI techniques at a mock crime scene. Campers will collect evidence, take crime scene photographs, make shoe impressions, and learn to lift and analyze fingerprints. At the end of the camp, they will be asked to analyze the clues and solve a crime! The class is free to Caddo Parish residents, but seating is limited to the first 25 participants, and pre-registration by telephone is required.
Campers must provide their own lunch. To register, contact Community Programs at 681-0875. Important Information: LUNCH IS NOT PROVIDED.

Participants must be at Safety Town by 8:00 A.M. Each morning and picked up each afternoon at 3:00 P.M. CADDO SHERIFF'S CAMP Caddo Sheriff's Camp, an overnight camp for boys ages 9-12, will be held at Garland Scout Ranch in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America, Norwela Council.
The camp recognizes boys from Caddo Parish for good behavior and academic achievement and introduces them to the scouting program. The purpose of the camp is to develop leadership skills and encourage involvement in scouting by introducing campers to outdoor activities like swimming, archery, and marksmanship. Transportation to and from camp is provided, and funding is made possible through citizen donations. Applications can be obtained from the Boy Scout office by calling 868-2774.
