When I rolled back driver, it worked fine, so I assume uninstalling it would stop it happening. Now my touchpad and mouse are gone. I've downloaded the latest Synaptic driver for Acer on their site and it installed. I see it under Human Interface Devices in my device manager but it says it needs to connect the hardware.

Under the mouse section, it shows HID-compliant mouse but the same thing. When I search Mouse in control panel, nothing shows up in hardware. I've tried installing the drivers again with the SCP toolkit, I've been trying to install Intel IO Chipset Drivers but keep getting 'unknown error'.
